Calisthenics is a team-based sport that offers a unique combination of dancing, singing, gymnastics and technical skill, and develops strong, confident leaders through friendship and teamwork.
Beejay’s Calisthenics Club was established in 2010 by Belinda “BJ” Dwyer with the help of her supportive family. Now entering our 10th year of operation, we are a Werribee-based, family-oriented club run by a diverse committee and experienced coaches who provide a fun and friendly environment for girls, boys and women to enjoy the sport of calisthenics. We cater to beginners through to experienced performers, and have classes for children, teens and adults.

Belinda Dwyer Principal Coach
Belinda “BJ” Dwyer started competing in calisthenics at the age of 8 at Albion, where she became a Level 1 Coach at the age of 18.
Belinda founded our club in 2010 with the help of her supportive family – including her cals family, such as our Juniors coach Sharon! She has coached across all age groups over the years, and is currently working with the Masters along with her sister Ebony.
“I love watching the pupils develop their skills and improve every week,” says Belinda. “As well as seeing their love and passion of the sport I have dedicated my life to.”
Crystal Seymour Tinies Coach
After many years of competing and assisting, Crystal joined our Level 1 Coach ranks in 2017. She loves working with our littlest pupils – the tinies – and has two older daughters at the club, as well as competing in Masters herself.
Crystal received a Lalor Hero award in 2019 for her service to our club and pupils.
Ebony Egan Intermediates & Seniors Coach
Ebony has been a calisthenics girl since the age of 6. She started assisting and training to be a coach 13 years ago, and is now in her sixth year as a Level 1 coach. In 2019 she has taken on both our Inters and Masters teams. She has also previously coached Juniors and Seniors. She has a daughter who is currently having a blast in Tinies.
“I love seeing the girls push their limits to learn more and improve their skills,” Ebony says. “Seeing them shine on stage, and come off stage smiling because they’ve worked hard, is awesome!”
Ebony is a finalist for the 2019 Victorian Calisthenics Coaches Association (VCCA) Coach Of The Year Award.
Sharon Naris Juniors & Seniors Coach
Sharon started calisthenics as a sub-junior at Albion, continuing to juniors. After 20 years away, she returned as a Senior when her oldest daughter started at Altona, where she met Ebony and Belinda and followed them to Bellarine. Sharon was one of the teammates who convinced Belinda to found her own club, becoming a Level 1 Coach with Beejay’s herself three years ago.
Sharon, who has coached Subbies and Juniors, says, “I love the friendships I have made over the years and love seeing how pupils progress and improve their skills.” Sharon also competes in our Masters section.
Sharyn Russell Sub-Juniors Coach
Sharyn is our newest recruit, having moved to Werribee in 2019 to join our swarm. Her first challenge – taking both our Sub-Junior and Senior sections, while competing in Masters to boot!
