VCCA Coach of the Year Finalist – Ebony Egan!

Coaching award finalist Ebony with her daughter

A huge congratulations to our fabulous Inters and Masters coach, Ebony Egan, on being named a finalist for the Victorian Calisthenics Coaches Association (VCCA) Coach Of The Year!

Ebony started calisthenics at the age of 6 and is now in her 28th year. She was a founding assistant when BeeJay’s was founded in 2010, proceeding to a coaching cadetship soon after. She is now in her sixth year of coaching.

“I love seeing the girls push their limits to learn more and improve their skills,” she said. “Seeing them shine on stage, and come off stage smiling because they’ve worked hard, is awesome!”

Ebony is “truly honoured” to be named as a finalist for VCCA Coach Of The Year, and would like to thank her sister and BeeJay’s principal Belinda, mentor and former coach Kendal, assistant coaches Crystal and Sharon for their hard work and support over the years, and mum Julie and husband Simon for their support and encouragement.

“I wouldn’t be where I am today without you all,” she wrote in a heartfelt Facebook post.

The BeeJay’s “swarm” are extremely proud of Ebony and are thrilled that her hard work and dedication is being recognised in this way.

The winner will be announced at Calisthenics Victoria’s Celebrating Calisthenics dinner on June 1.
